HOW MANY ROUTES DOES THE BIKE PARK HAVE?

Currently, there are 11 routes available to you at Green Hill, which can of course also be combined with each other. Flow trails, technical sections and jumplines – all visitors get their money’s worth here.

There is also a practice course in the valley, which is perfect for our mountain bike professionals of tomorrow.

WHAT IS A POP UP RIDE?

A pop-up ride will be announced by us at short notice and will take place outside the regular opening hours. A pop-up ride is therefore an additional open day in the bike park. We always offer different topics. The online sale of these special tickets will always start on Mondays, one week before the respective pop-up ride.

CAN MY CHILD VISIT THE BIKE PARK ALONE?

All children and adolescents under the age of 16 must carry a parental consent form containing the contact details of a parent or guardian. There is no predefined form for this, a self-formulated declaration of consent is sufficient. Mandatory components are the name of the child, date of the bike park visit, emergency contact details and signature of the legal guardian.

HOW DOES YOUR LIFT SYSTEM WORK AND IS IT SUITABLE FOR ALL BIKES?

We have two parallel lifts for you, which are equipped with an Easy Loop system. The system is simply hung behind the stem. This also works with downhill forks, but only if there is enough space between the spacer and the center tubes. If this is not the case or you are unsure, please come to our workshop before using the lift. Here we can help you with so-called adapter plates.

IS THE BIKE PARK INCLUDED IN THE GRAVITY CARD?

No, the Green Hill Bikepark is currently not included in the Gravity Card.

ARE THERE LOCKERS?

Unfortunately, we are currently unable to offer lockers. Since the parking lot is in the immediate vicinity, we recommend taking only the essentials up the mountain. The removal of backpacks or other equipment is explicitly at your own risk.

WHERE CAN I PARK ON ARRIVAL?

There are plenty of free parking spaces available on our premises. You can reach it immediately after turning off the main road in Gellinghausen onto the bike park area. Since we require every parking space in high season, the instructions of our staff must always be followed. Escape and rescue routes must be kept clear without exception.

ARE TOOLS AVAILABLE FOR SMALL JOBS ON MY BIKE?

We offer you free tools for minor work on your bike. This can be found both at the top of the exit and at the bottom of our bike shop.

WHAT DO I DO IF I HAVE WITNESSED AN ACCIDENT IN THE BIKE PARK OR IF I AM THE VICTIM MYSELF?

For a smooth rescue chain, it is urgently necessary to call the Bike Shop first on 02977 7095 137 , from which the ambulance will be alerted if necessary. If an ambulance has to be called out, a paramedic from the bike park will come to the scene of the accident in the meantime and provide first aid, or rescue the injured person from the area.

IS THERE A BIKE WASH ON THE SITE?

In the upper parking lot, there are several washing stations available for you both at the beginning and at the end. The water remains on for at least two hours after the lift closes. If something does not work smoothly here, please report it to the shop.

WHAT SHOULD I DO IF I FALL ILL OR INJURE MYSELF BEFORE MY COURSE?

The course can be refunded upon presentation of medical proof. This is possible retroactively if you do not go to the doctor until after the weekend, but please deregister with us in advance. Alternatively, the course place can also be passed on to someone with the same or similar performance level, as this is not personalized.

RAIN IS REPORTED, WILL THE COURSE STILL TAKE PLACE?

Basically, we train in all weathers! (with the exception of thunderstorms, as we have to temporarily stop the lift operation here). Anyone who knows the Sauerland knows that rainfall occurs frequently. Nevertheless, please keep in mind that the coaches will travel especially for you and that the teaching of the material will not suffer from the weather. We exclude a refund for reasons of weather.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I LOSE MY GROUP?

Don’t worry! Please contact the shop immediately, we will contact your coach via radio so that you can find each other again on the next lap at the lift entrance.

WHAT DO COURSE PARTICIPANTS UNDER 16 HAVE TO CONSIDER?

For participants under the age of 16, a declaration of consent from a parent or legal guardian must be taken with them. This can be formulated yourself. Don’t forget your contact details just in case!

MY BIKE BROKE DOWN IRREPARABLY SHORTLY BEFORE THE COURSE, HOW SHOULD I PROCEED NOW?

Please contact us in the shop by phone in good time so that we can discuss what damage to the bike is present and whether a rental bike from our fleet is still available. This must be booked in the normal way via our homepage.

IS THE LIFT TICKET INCLUDED IN THE COURSE PRICE?

No, the lift ticket is not included in the course price, but must be added to the shopping cart in advance online when booking the course. Think in advance whether you want to ride before or after your course, otherwise a half-day ticket is sufficient for the duration of the course.

ARE THERE COURSES FOR CHILDREN UNDER 10 YEARS OF AGE?

Children under 10 years of age need more attention within the bike park. In addition, the duration of a group course is 3.5 hours, which requires a high degree of physical endurance and mental capacity. For the kids, it therefore makes sense to plan a shortened course time of approx. 1-2 hours individually. Feel free to write to us.

WHEN AND WHERE IS THE MEETING POINT FOR THE COURSE? WHERE CAN I GET MY TICKET IN ADVANCE?

Please come to our workshop at the Bike Shop punctually 15 minutes before the official start of the course.

Here your coach will be waiting for you and give you the tickets you need. If you have booked rental equipment in advance, please plan enough time for the material distribution.

IS THERE A BREAK DURING THE COURSE TIME? WHERE CAN I EAT/DRINK WHAT?

There will be a small break, which will take place in consultation with the coach. Toilets, as well as food and drinks can be found in the Hellermann Ìs Hütte. Please keep in mind that the time for the break is short and therefore a small snack is useful. After the course, you are welcome to take advantage of the full range of services offered by Hellermann’s Hütte.

HOW EXACTLY DOES THE RENTAL PROCESS WORK?

Book your required rental items directly via our homepage for your desired date. Once your booking is complete, you will receive a confirmation with QR code and order number. With the booking confirmation, you can pick up your booked items directly in our workshop.

Important! Please have your ID card ready when you pick it up. We make a copy on site.

WHAT DOES THE RENTAL COMPANY OFFER?

In our rental we have various bikes from our partner Rocky Mountain for you. Protective equipment, which includes helmets, knee pads and chest protectors, comes from our partner POC Sports.

WHERE CAN I PICK UP AND RETURN THE RENTAL ITEMS?

Our rental shop always opens half an hour before the lift starts. The return will be immediate and in a cleancondition at the end of the lift operation.

WHAT DOES BIKE INSURANCE INCLUDE?

This insurance is an in-house solution and makes it possible to reduce or save on any costs incurred due to damage to the rented bike. The assessment always takes place after return by the respective employee. When the insurance is taken out, damages of up to €500 are covered. If no insurance has been taken out, or the amount of the damage exceeds the contribution margin (€500), the customer must pay for the corresponding damage at the currently applicable list prices.

WHAT FRAME SIZES ARE AVAILABLE FOR RENTAL?

When making your reservation, you can view all frame sizes in the “Size Guide” and choose which size is right for you.

WHAT ARE THE SIZES OF THE PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT?

When you book the protective gear of our partner POC Sports, you will find a “size guide” to help you find the right size.

DO YOU ALSO SELL USED BIKES FROM THE RENTAL COMPANY?

On our homepage you can view all bikes from our rental fleet that are offered for sale and contact us via a form.

WHERE CAN I CLEAN THE BIKE RENTAL?

CAN I STAY IN A CAMPER/MOTORHOME WITH YOU?

You have the exclusive opportunity to camp directly at the bike park on limited places. It is not possible to make a reservation in advance. Therefore, please arrive early enough to get a place. The parking lot staff must be followed without exception.

WHERE CAN I PARK FOR THE NIGHT?

The designated parking spaces can be found in the lower parking lot, which you can reach through the Green Hill archway. The upper parking lot remains reserved exclusively for day guests.

IS THERE ELECTRICITY ON THE CAMPSITE?

At the moment, we cannot provide electricity.

ARE THERE SANITARY FACILITIES? WHAT IF THE RESTAURANT IS CLOSED?

Since this season, there have been new sanitary facilities at the Hellermanns Hütte, which can be accessed from the outside 24 hours a day. Here you will also find two shower cubicles, which can be operated via a coin-operated machine. (2€ per shower)

CAN I CAMP ON THE SITE?

In principle, a tent may be pitched next to the car. However, due to lack of space, all tents must be consistently dismantled during the day. The parking lot staff must be followed without exception!

ARE THERE ANY CAMPGROUNDS NEAR BIKEPARK TO DODGE?

ARE CAMPFIRES ALLOWED?

We do not tolerate open fires on the entire site!

In principle, dogs are allowed on the railing, but they must be kept strictly on a leash.

DO I HAVE TO BUY MY TICKET ONLINE OR IS THERE ALSO A BOX OFFICE?

Basically, we always have a small contingent of cards ready for you in our shop. However, a guarantee to really be able to ride with us on your desired day is only achieved by buying a corresponding ticket online. Due to our variable ticket prices, it is worthwhile to book a ticket online as early as possible, as the price is reduced accordingly.

HOW DO I GET MY TICKET FROM THE ONLINE ORDER?

As soon as your order is completed in our ticket online shop, you will receive an order confirmation by e-mail, in which you will find both an order number and a QR code. We need one of the two to be able to “check in” you on site in the shop and give you your lift ticket. You can show the QR code or the order number on your mobile phone display or bring it with you in printed paper form.

MY QR CODE DOESN’T OPEN, WHAT SHOULD I DO? I NEED WIFI!

Since there is very poor mobile phone reception on the premises, it may occasionally be that the QR code within the order confirmation email does not open. Free Wi-Fi is at your disposal, you will find the registration details posted at the shop entrance. It’s best to take a screenshot of the QR code at home or put it in your wallet.

CAN I PASS ON MY TICKET FOR VARIOUS REASONS?

Basically, the tickets are not personalized, which means you can give someone your order number or QR code.

HOW AND UNDER WHAT CONDITIONS CAN I CANCEL MY TICKET?

You can cancel your ticket yourself within your Green Hill account. However, this process is only possible if all the necessary criteria are met. Up to three days before your planned visit to us, you can cancel your ticket without justification as part of the ticket insurance, which you can book when shopping online. In the event of illness or injury, we require medical proof without exception, which you can send us in the form of a photo or screenshot and stating the order number.

I ORDERED MY TICKET ONLINE AND THE STATUS OF MY ORDER IS IN PROGRESS. WHAT DOES THAT MEAN? HOW DO I GET MY TICKET?

Don’t worry. The status of your order will remain on “in progress” until you check in at our bike shop on site, upon presentation of your QR code or order number. Only then will the status of your order change to “Check in”.

Care?

The young people are supervised around the clock, both by our coaches and the Green Hill team on site. The supervisors/coaches sleep on site.

Accident/injury?

As with any sport, injuries can occur that require action. We guarantee reliable first aid and rescue chain on site and remain in close consultation with you as parents. In principle, camp participation is at your own risk and the Green Hill Bike Park cannot be held liable for property damage caused by your own fault or injuries that may occur as a result of the sport. Our coaches ensure a healthy assessment of driving skills and supervise the young people over the entire period.

Sanitation?

Showers and toilets are available 24 hours a day on our bike park grounds.

Bad weather?

Rain is not good for the die-hard biker, but we have planned an alternative bad weather program just in case.

Material failure?

We have a well-equipped workshop on site at the bike shop. Please note that all kinds of repair costs, spare parts, rental bikes must be settled separately via the Bike Shop. In the worst case, we have enough rental bikes available so that the camp does not have to be cancelled. Payment can also be made “remotely” via PayPal or bank transfer (to be agreed in advance with the parents)

Pocket money?

If the young people would like to buy something in the Hellermanns Hütte or in the Bike Shop in addition to the camp offer, this is of course possible.

WhatsApp group?

After the “check in” at the start of the camp, we will create a WhatsApp group in which we would like to keep you as parents up to date, so that you also get something of our camp feeling. The group is not for the exchange of questions or concerns, but to let you participate in the camp with daily photos. If this is not desired, please mention it briefly when registering on site. From the beginning of the camp, the telephone numbers of the supervisors will then emerge from this group (these will be used exclusively for Kids Camp purposes).

Photo/video material?

The young people will film each other from time to time during the camp to capture the learning process. In the “Video Creating” workshop, the young people learn about contemporary ways in which they can edit their own video with special apps. If someone does not agree to the image/video material being created by her/him, please mention it explicitly at the beginning of the camp so that we can take this into account.

Cancellation & Refund

The following scale of reimbursement applies:

Up to 21 days before the camp – 90% of the cost
Up to 14 days before the camp – 50% of the cost

Alternatively, a camp place can also be referred to someone else you know, please inform us in advance about the name change.

      CAN I STAY IN A CAMPER/MOTORHOME WITH YOU?

      You have the exclusive opportunity to camp directly at the bike park on limited places. It is not possible to make a reservation in advance. Therefore, please arrive early enough to get a place. The parking lot staff must be followed without exception.

      WHERE CAN I PARK FOR THE NIGHT?

      The designated parking spaces can be found in the lower parking lot, which you can reach through the Green Hill archway. The upper parking lot remains reserved exclusively for day guests.

      IS THERE ELECTRICITY ON THE CAMPSITE?

      At the moment, we cannot provide electricity.

      ARE THERE SANITARY FACILITIES? WHAT IF THE RESTAURANT IS CLOSED?

      Since this season, there have been new sanitary facilities at the Hellermanns Hütte, which can be accessed from the outside 24 hours a day. Here you will also find two shower cubicles, which can be operated via a coin-operated machine. (2€ per shower)

      CAN I CAMP ON THE SITE?

      In principle, a tent may be pitched next to the car. However, due to lack of space, all tents must be consistently dismantled during the day. The parking lot staff must be followed without exception!

      ARE THERE ANY CAMPGROUNDS NEAR BIKEPARK TO DODGE?

      ARE CAMPFIRES ALLOWED?

      We do not tolerate open fires on the entire site!

      ARE DOGS ALLOWED ON THE PREMISES?

      In principle, dogs are allowed on the railing, but they must be kept strictly on a leash.

      DO I HAVE TO BUY MY TICKET ONLINE OR IS THERE ALSO A BOX OFFICE?

      Basically, we always have a small contingent of cards ready for you in our shop. However, a guarantee to really be able to ride with us on your desired day is only achieved by buying a corresponding ticket online. Due to our variable ticket prices, it is worthwhile to book a ticket online as early as possible, as the price is reduced accordingly.

      HOW DO I GET MY TICKET FROM THE ONLINE ORDER?

      As soon as your order is completed in our ticket online shop, you will receive an order confirmation by e-mail, in which you will find both an order number and a QR code. We need one of the two to be able to “check in” you on site in the shop and give you your lift ticket. You can show the QR code or the order number on your mobile phone display or bring it with you in printed paper form.

      MY QR CODE DOESN’T OPEN, WHAT SHOULD I DO? I NEED WIFI!

      Since there is very poor mobile phone reception on the premises, it may occasionally be that the QR code within the order confirmation email does not open. Free Wi-Fi is at your disposal, you will find the registration details posted at the shop entrance. It’s best to take a screenshot of the QR code at home or put it in your wallet.

      CAN I PASS ON MY TICKET FOR VARIOUS REASONS?

      Basically, the tickets are not personalized, which means you can give someone your order number or QR code.

      HOW AND UNDER WHAT CONDITIONS CAN I CANCEL MY TICKET?

      You can cancel your ticket yourself within your Green Hill account. However, this process is only possible if all the necessary criteria are met. Up to three days before your planned visit to us, you can cancel your ticket without justification as part of the ticket insurance, which you can book when shopping online. In the event of illness or injury, we require medical proof without exception, which you can send us in the form of a photo or screenshot and stating the order number.

      I ORDERED MY TICKET ONLINE AND THE STATUS OF MY ORDER IS IN PROGRESS. WHAT DOES THAT MEAN? HOW DO I GET MY TICKET?

      Don’t worry. The status of your order will remain on “in progress” until you check in at our bike shop on site, upon presentation of your QR code or order number. Only then will the status of your order change to “Check in”.
